A Skin but no Cloth (2019)

A skin but no cloth explores the extent to which family histories are held by objects and bodies. A 10m drawing was generated by making rubbings of my great-grandmother’s dress, which was then worn while dancing in front of the shapes on the paper. The juxtaposition between the shapes of drawing and the movement of the body question what it is that the dress can contain.
